Resisting Empire Tour Planning Meeting
Wednesday September 24th, 8pm
Watermargin Co-op at Cornell, 103 McGraw Place

All organizations and individuals who would like to help decide on and plan for these events, please come!

The Resisting Empire Tour is hosted by Haymarket Books, working with other independent media and grassroots activists. There will be tour stops by anti-war authors who have published with Haymarket all around the country between October 15th and November 15th.
So far the concrete plans are:
October 27th Cornell Event with Laila al-Arian and Camilo Mejia
October 31st Cornell Event with Joe Allen and Michael Swartz
Cornell University has agreed to provide sponsors with a total of $10,000 for the two events.

The hope is to also have events with these (and potentially more) speakers downtown and at Ithaca College. If anyone would like to be involved in the planning, but can’t personally make it to this meeting, please email/call me. We would like to have as many people and groups involved in planning to make this a big success for the anti-war movement in Ithaca.
