The Let Gaza Live national march in Washington, D.C. set for this Saturday is picking up steam. Within the last 24 hours, national organizers learned of 30 additional buses leaving from Arab American Community Centers and Mosques in the Downstate New York/ Northern New Jersey area. Lets do our part and join in solidarity with the Gazana and Palestinian and Arab communities here in the U.S..
Thanks to some kind, generous souls who have donated and/or given assurances, the fare is now on a sliding scale of $35 to $50 dollars with a limited number of subsidized scholarship tickets available. There are still plenty of seats available, but we hope that by being able to offer a lower fare, we will fill all 37 seats. Partial Scholarships may also be available.
We have a bus reserved. The schedule is to depart Ithaca at 5 AM Saturday, January 10, with a 6 AM pickup in Binghamton. The rally in D.C. is at 1pm, and we will depart D.C. about 6 PM.
Also, if you would like to donate food for demonstrators who will attend, or you want to help in any other capacity, please let us know as soon as possible.
