New York Green Fest 2009, Aug. 7-9, Alfred, NY. Forum on Sustainable Energy, Part 1: Musical welcoming by the Lucky Pluckers and introduction to the solar stage.
Meg Krywe and Tom Persichilli comprise the Lucky Pluckers fol/rock/old-timey music band. Meg has worked with a number of citizen groups to keep nuclear waste out of Allegheny County and has spent years supporting efforts of groups in Allegheny, Livingston, Yates, Ontario, and Stuben counties.
Tom builds musical instruments, including the acoustic instruments used in this performance. Most of his work is done with antique hand tools in his shop in Arkport, NY. He also specializes in life-like sculpture and fine woodworking.
Crow Weaver designer of the solar-powered stage and and founder of the Native Earthling Band, gives an explanation of the photovoltaic system and solar powered audio equipment. He was assisted by his partner Joey Gates.

New York Green Fest 2009, Aug. 7-9, Alfred, NY. Forum on Sustainable Energy, Part 2: Art Weaver, “Renewable Energy, the Audacity of Hope, the Reality of Change”.
Art is President of Renovus Energy, a renewable energy systms design and installation company in Ithaca, NY. Prior to founding Renovus, Energy, Art was staff scientist at the Cornell High Energy Synchrotron, conducting research in x-ray biophysics and proteomics. The accelerating pace of environmental degredation and social upheaval caused byincreasing global population, in conjunction with diminishing global petroleum resource, motivated Art to establish Renovus Energy. Art spoke at Green Fest 2003 anf Green Fest 2007.

Dan is the chair of the Sierra Club NYC Group, and founded its Beyond Oil NYC campaign. He is the organizer of the Peak Oil NYC Meetup, the NYC affiliate of Post Carbon Institute. Dan is Senior Vice President of the Long Island City Business Development Corporation.
