Tompkins County Against War & Occupation Videos are available for download in meg-2 format on archive.org. These files are ready for playback on Leightronix media servers used in over one thousand P.E.G. and closed-circuit t.v. channels across the nation. The encoding and muxing methodology have been tested by Leightronix as fully compatible with the manufacturer’s Nexus media server and controller.
FILE NAMES MUST END WITH .MPG EXTENSION. MAX. 27 CHARACTERS. Some of the file names may need to be shortened.
Simply download the meg-2 format file to a USB data stick (or burn to a CD) and take the file to your local PEG playback facility. Ask to have the file put directly on the Leightronix media server and schedule a cablecast time.
Alternatively, if your local public access facility will not accept programming this way, you may be able to create a playable DVD using a DVD burning application.
All videos offered here are covered by Creative Commons Licenses that permit non-commercial use including derivative use. (For derivative use, you may need to first extract the audio using an application such as MPEG Streamclip if you wish to import to the timeline of your video editor).
