Screenings at the Ithaca Unitarian Church
The Social Justice Council is screening Winter Soldier Testimonies each Friday at 7 pm at the Ithaca Unitarian Church through June 20. Each panel is between 1-1/2 and 2 hours. We often break half way for discussion. For a listing, see the event calendar on this site or click on the page link here for the complete schedule.
Video on Demand
Iraq Veterans Against the War now has a nearly complete set of testimonies organized by panel available as high quality video on demand. The current version of Flash Player (Flash 9) is required to view the streaming content from IVAW’s web site.
Downloading Video
It is also possible to download these files (.mp4 and .m4v) and view them with the free Quicktime Player (Quicktime 7 required) or any other player that is compatible with the H.264 codec. You can get a free download of the current version of Quicktime Player here. With a video projector and laptop with a suitable player application installed, individual testimonies can projected for group or public meetings. CAN/IVAW held a screening recently at Cornell that worked quite well with this approach. The quality of the encoding is good enough to hold up for projecting on a large screen.
However, it takes a bit of sleuthing to find the actual URL’s for the video files. As a convenience, the links are listed here by panel.
